Just because we are not at the Feis Ile 2014, we did not think it was reason enough not to join with the festivities. We will be drinking a random dram (not previously tasted by us) of each of the distilleries and share our thoughts about it.
Today, Friday May 30th 2014, it is Bunnahabhain day. We have decided to share the Gordon and Macphail - the Macphail's Collection - Bunnahabhain 8 year old with you.
We have visited the distillery twice, but have actually never managed to do a tour there, but it is still on the planning to do so on the next occasion we are there for sure; during Feìs Ìle 2015. The grand distillery looks like a small abandoned village, and our initial impressions was "desolate". The trip to get to the distillery in quite beautiful and the distillery's surroundings make up for the impression though, as do most of the drams we have tasted.
